Total of Edition 100
– In the 1970s and 1980s, some Vietnamese coal choice lines still used workers to select coal for export. This work is quite simple, because the worker must only remove foreign objects that is not coal, but it requires diligence, so that it is more suitable for female workers.
– Coal is scooped onto a conveyor belt, after the machine has removed the foreign material, the workers will be the last step of selection before putting coal on board for export. Shot backlit, deliberately hiding the face but focusing on the hands and the conveyor are running – this is an impression of the “moving” image in the “quiet” context. The background is dark dry firewood, highlighting the light on workers’ shoulders and hats. The foreground is a coal that is not exported and is used for other purposes.
– Hopefully, a glorious history of Vietnam’s coal industry is kept and developed.
